Going by, day by day;
each, inescapably, does end.
I meet that bittersweet dismay,
& shake despondency — my friend,
For I’m a man of dust & clay.
Of shattered dreams & hopes misspent.
Of hoping, dreaming, must I pay,
or of my limits stay contend,
But choose I pave my frontiers way,
& choose I break yet to transcend.
For much as ache they do convey;
Discontent — dismay is godsend…
