O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
& say: “Oh why thou sky thou sky”
& say: “Oh wow thou hurt me—how!
Erase me or embrace me Now!
Lest I fall into sweet rupture,
That bitter rapture…
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
To see all that do you mystify,
To see Entirety of Love gaze back.
Though may it be of white & black.
But deep does lie unending hues
of the sweetest muse…
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
Enchantment you can not deny;
To soothe her & caress her cheek,
& bear all God that she does speak,
& as she does dance or prance or run
thou see the One
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
All heaven’s a smile & all hell’s a sigh;
All joys are sorrows—rest rests in pains,
& blood that lifelessly leaves your veins
pumps life back deep down each artery,
That’s Love’s artistry.
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye
& plead the skies, & earth & cry,
& plead their beauty to incise through,
To cut through wounds & cut through you.
Until it finds that grief beneath,
& plaits of it a wreath.
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
& gaze the stars—up they hung high,
In a warming wonder. In intimate awe.
O’ if their bruising beauty they may know.
But beauty requests no permission,
It bruises each incision.
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
Who’s torn between each Hello & Goodbye.
Who lost all trust in what you believe.
For out of detachment nothing can relieve;
Yet in re-attachment no solace for soul
or in words of console.
O’ Thou who looks nature in the eye,
& pray “Thou know—O’ sky O’ sky”
& pray “O’ I know not what to do,
But my eyes will always lie upon you.
Until we concur & unite nigh,
O’ One who looks me back in the eye.”
